  Random drive failures when using Seagate SCSI U320 hard drives.
  Question
  The RAID array keeps failing drives. The controller log reports time out and bus reset errors when using Seagate hard disks with Adaptec U320 RAID and SCSI controllers.

  Answer
  There is a firmware update available from Seagate to address this issue. Drive model ST3146807, ST373307, and ST336607 should be updated to firmware version 0007 or higher. Drive model ST373453, ST336753, and ST318453 should be updated to firmware version 0006 or higher.
